Building 1089 Repair Mess Hall (Anderson Chow Hall), US Marine Corps Base Hawaii Kaneohe - MCBH, Kaneohe, Hawaii

• Work under this project includes repairs to the restrooms off of the loading dock; replacement of deteriorated windows and exterior doors; floor coating over existing deteriorated quarry floor tiles; replacement of suspended acoustical ceilings; painting of interior and exterior wall and ceiling surfaces; and maintenance coating of the roof. Project includes repairs to the concrete stairs and railings, and the HVAC system; replacing walk-in coolers and cooling systems; and providing repairs to the steam boiler system to include replacing steam distribution piping. Project includes repairs to exhaust systems at dishwasher areas and repair of exhaust ductwork at galley as needed. Project includes repairs to the salad room to ensure that temperatures meet standards of NAVMED P-5010-1. Electrical work includes replacing the main distribution panels (3 each); repairs to interior electrical distribution; and replacement of lighting. Project includes moving kitchen equipment to accommodate renovation work, storage, and reinstallation of the equipment. Project includes landscaping work to including trimming trees and brush away from the building in order to access the building for repairs, and site restoration. 

• Work under this project also includes constructing 2 mechanical enclosures in support of HVAC equipment and installation of hand wash stations at the serving lines. Existing water and drain lines run in a crawl space under the service line and new hand wash stations can tap in to those utilities. Project includes constructing an entry vestibule with secondary containment at the loading dock entrance to include air curtain. Project includes installation of air conditioning at the dry storage room to replace window AC unit, including construction phasing to allow the facilities operational during construction, and supporting facilities such as temporary reefers, and miscellaneous and incidental related work.
